Why Advertise In Flagstaff Tea Party?
Since August of 2000, Flagstaff Tea Party has been publishing the most closely read newspaper in northern Arizona. At the beginning of each month (except January), a minimum of 10,000 free copies of FTP are distributed to 200 businesses in Flagstaff.

Flagstaff Tea Party is an alternative newspaper where ordinary residents can speak out on controversial topics. FTP is a newspaper where the voices of downtrodden workers come before the voices of corporate CEOs. It is a newspaper where those who speak for the plants and the animals come before those who speak for the bottom line. It is a newspaper where greed, corruption and dishonesty can be exposed. In short, FTP is a newspaper where the truth can be told.

In addition to being a newspaper, FTP is a nonprofit organization, supported in large part by the generosity of Flagstaff’s residents. Were it not for the donations of hundreds of Flagtaff residents (including more than 400 FTP members), Flagstaff Tea Party would not exist.

When you advertise in Flagstaff Tea Party, you can expect to reach local residents who care about Flagstaff and its local businesses. When you advertise in Flagstaff Tea Party, you are saying that you care about community, and the things Flagstaff residents care about.

So please, don’t just advertise with anyone —advertise with Flagstaff’s best and brightest. Don’t just make a statement, make a difference. Don’t do it for Flagstaff Tea Party. Do it for Flagstaff!

Thanks for your support!

Advertising policy
Flagstaff Tea Party welcomes advertisements from locally owned businesses, especially small businesses that exhibit unique character and add to the diversity of Flagstaff. We are also eager to work with advertisers who pay a livable wage and exhibit good labor practices. Non-local businesses may advertise if approved by the board of directors. We accept political advertising from any political party or candidate. We reserve the right to refuse to run advertisements that we believe to be in poor taste or those advertisements that would diminish the character of the community.

Flagstaff Tea Party offers a wide assortment of advertising sizes to fit every size advertising budget. Ad sizes range from 2" x 2" to a full tabloid-sized page (10" wide x 12.5" high). Chances are that one of our sizes is very close to one of your existing camera-ready ads. We will be happy to stretch your ad slightly if necessary to fit our ad sizes. There is no charge for stretching. Of course, we will be happy to create an ad from scratch or to modify an existing ad for a small fee.

We offer a variety of discounts and contracts, please refer to a Flagstaff Tea Party ad rate card (contact information below).

Each Flagstaff Tea Party page has four vertical columns. Please note that all of our columns are not the same width. One column on the outside of each page is about 1/2-inch narrower than the other three columns. If an ad size is described as “narrow," it will normally appear in or overlap this outside column.

Production specifications
All ads will be published in black and white. Advertisements may be submitted on paper or on PC-compatible floppy or Zip disk. Ads may also be e-mailed to our office. Ads submitted electronically should be accompanied by a hard-copy (on paper) to assure that all elements of the ad have been captured electronically. For additional details on production requirements, please call our office.

Who advertises frequently in FTP?
Month after month, some advertisers keep coming back, advertising in the pages of Flagstaff Tea Party because they know FTP is the newspaper people read. Regular advertisers include: Babbitt’s Mountaineering Company; Incahoots Vintage Clothing; Winter Sun Herbs; New Frontiers Natural Foods; Absolute Bikes; Marnie Vail, Homeopathic Physician; Critter Crater Animal Rescue Ranch; Northern Arizona University; Gopher Sounds (CDs); Aradia Books; Teva Footwear; North Country Community Health Clinic; the Sierra Club; and others.

Dare to compare
Compare Flagstaff Tea Party’s advertising prices to any other local publication and you will find that FTP’s prices are very competitive. What’s more, FTP routinely distributes about 2,000 more copies than Mountain Living magazine or Flag Live! (FTP’s print-run fluctuates seasonally.) Plus, Flagstaff Tea Party guarantees that with its in-depth stories and often controversial content, FTP is the most closely read publication in northern Arizona.
