Mission Statement
We aim to protect and improve
Flagstaff’s unique community character, quality of life and the
integrity of our surrounding ecosystems. We believe in the
importance of supporting locally owned businesses. We also strive to
improve the standard of living for working people everywhere. We are
an independent publication that does not shy away from expressing
controversial views and seeking out the truth. We will not be
influenced by those powerful political and economic forces whose
views and messages routinely infiltrate the mainstream press. We
provide a forum for residents to discuss local and global issues
that impact Flagstaff, as well as to discuss how activities in
Flagstaff impact the rest of the world. We are an equal opportunity
amplifier seeking to be representative of the larger community. We
invite the participation of all residents regardless of age, gender,
