Rodeo/Chediski Wildlife Relief Fund established

From the Arizona Wildlife Federation

In addition to the destruction that the Rodeo-Chedeski fire caused to the towns and communities of northern Arizona, more than 400,000 acres of wildlife habitat that provided food and shelter for thousands of wild animals was burned. Money is needed urgently for projects to rehabilitate burned areas and to limit the damage to trout streams and lakes from runoff from the burned areas.

In order to help fund these efforts the Arizona Wildlife Federation, Arizona's oldest conservation organization, has established a Rodeo/Chediski Wildlife Relief Fund. Donations to this fund will be used to support the efforts of the Arizona Game and Fish Department, the US Forest Service, and the Arizona Wildlife Federation to restore wildlife habitat in badly burned areas and to assist wildlife populations displaced by the fire.

Donations can be made to the Rodeo/Chediski Wildlife Relief Fund  account number 16078 98333 at any Bank One branch around the state.
